Anna Kirstinä´s paintings are rich, full of material feeling and with surfaces like a reliefs. Her paintigs and sculpture form a certain space, which  gives a viewer a chance to enter the images.

The bright paintigs take you along. The layers of Fauvism and Expressionism, which updated it, have influenced the bright colorism of Anna Kirstinä´s works. The artist has chosen the style – the viewer´s possibility is to interpret. The fundamental issue is the subjective experience and observation of today´s multicolorism provided by Kirstinä.

The subject of the paintings rise from emotion and its rights, in spite of the unstable, violent and political reality. The subjects are inherited from feminism. There is a connection between the outer appearance of Kirstinä´s art and

Niki de Saint Phalle´s (1930-2002) world. The feeling is strong in Anna Kirstinä´s paintings. It is pure and honest; it is richer than the dualism of the good and bad, light and shadow.
