BOUNDS

We live in a society, where passing out information is characteristic. We live in the world flooded with information. Using different device, we receive and send knowledge every day, all the time; news, adds, personal messages. The world around directs continuously towards us impulse, to which we must react, at least on some level.

Interacting is natural between people, the way to exist, essential even. In everyday life new bounds are continuously born between people and nature´s phenomenon. Where is my bound, my bound of personality? To me these bounds are difficult, even painful and sometimes cheerful and glad. Without interaction I cease to exist, yet I´d often like to be without it, protect myself from it.

The difficulty of meeting, seeing, experiencing and comprehending has given me a lot to meditate for a longer period of time. To be in the middle of experiencing the conflicting bounds have given me motifs for my works.

During years I have accomplished three-dimensional works as well as surfaces using hard and soft material, often for instance textile. The works of this exhibition are acrylic- and mixed media paintings.
